Planning
progress built on the past
![]() |
Trautman Associates planners take an analytical approach to design, addressing a range of economic, social, and environmental factors. Living and working in the local communities that we serve, better enables our comprehensive understanding of local dynamics and their significance in the context of global development trends. In collaboration with Trautman Associates architects and engineers, we draw from a multi-disciplinary breadth of empirical insights and modeling capabilities, responsive to client demand for predictable outcomes.
Founded on basic principles of local growth and prosperity, our work ethic is not unlike the exemplary work ethic of Buffalo's industrial visionaries of the 19th and 20th centuries. Their early financial success in local manufacturing was later invested in the best architects of the day, adding appreciative value to local communities, and today garnering national attention for their historic significance. With continued demand for growth and prosperity in the 21st century, Trautman Associates planners envision progress built on the past; thus, Historic Preservation is a critical component of our analytical approach. In collaboration with in-house civil engineers, our ability to facilitate site-specific planning and design ranges from exciting, revitalization projects such as the Buffalo waterfront to other large scale projects such as campus master planning. We have received awards from Preservation Buffalo Niagara and look forward to future generations of continued success.
